Kloeckner Metals Corporation in Kentucky is seeking a Supervisory Warehouse to oversee loading, material handling, and processing activities, ensuring safety and productivity standards are met. You will lead warehouse staff and report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, inventory oversight, equipment maintenance, and reporting on operations. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of warehouse supervision, HS diploma or GED, and strong leadership and problem-solving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of warehouse experience in metals service center or completion of a related rotational management training program.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills with experience in web-based management tools and MS Office Suite.
• Experience in metals processing/distribution industry is advantageous.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.

• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory records and tracking of inbound/outbound materials.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Reporting: Prepare and review inventory and evaluation reports.
• Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Job description

The Supervisor (Warehouse) oversees warehouse operations, including loading, material handling, and processing activities. This role ensures the efficient functioning of warehouse staff and operations, adhering to safety and productivity standards. The position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision: Schedule, supervise, and assign tasks to warehouse staff. Evaluate performance and provide feedback
• Operational Oversight: Ensure timely and accurate completion of warehouse activities, including loading and material handling
• Recruitment and Training: Interview, recruit, and organize on-the-job training for new employees
• Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory records, ensuring accurate tracking of all inbound and outbound materials
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery
• Reporting: Prepare and review inventory and evaluation reports related to warehouse operations
• Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned
