Job Purpose

Supervise warehouse operations, communicate shift transitions, manage staff, and oversee paperwork and computer entry tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assign work for 2nd shift staffing, considering customer specifications and delivery schedules.
2. Oversee loading of freight according to specifications.
3. Supervise drivers, communicate updates, and manage workflow changes.
4. Review deliveries for quality issues and report problems.
5. Manage shipment paperwork and verify accuracy of shipments.
6. Ensure shipments meet customer specifications and staff are trained on requirements.
7. Update relevant systems and communicate with customers as needed.
8. Ensure safety, training, and development of staff according to OSHA and company policies.
9. Oversee data entry accuracy and manage employee timesheets and overtime.
10. Perform building checks, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
11. Handle accident reports and emergency procedures appropriately.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years supervisory/managerial experience in a warehouse setting.
• Dispatch and dock supervision experience.
• Familiarity with warehouse management software like Smart Turn or TMW is a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Some college preferred.
