Job Purpose: This position will have the responsibility for assisting the Maintenance and Safety Manager with vendors and RJW Transport contract mechanics in addition to maintaining all company warehouse equipment and premises which includes forklifts, building maintenance, and housekeeping responsibilities. Will also prepare and maintain AIB standards for all warehouses. This position will report to the Facilities Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring that all maintenance activities in our facilities are appropriately carried out.
2. Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
3. Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations.
4. Professional verbal and written communication.
5. Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
6. General computer knowledge.
7. Ability to work independently.
8. Ability to be on-call for responding after-hour emergencies.
9. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
10. Coordinates forklift maintenance and repair.
11. Supervises maintenance staff at multiple buildings and evaluates their performances.
12. Ensures audit requirements at multiple facilities are maintained.
13. Provide training for multiple facilities for new hires on safety.
14. Assess damages and reports them to respective facility manager for disciplinary follow up.
15. Able to fix routine maintenance items without supervision or instruction.
16. Promotes and monitors safety of all employees at all facilities.
17. Maintains detailed training and safety logs.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Good communication, problem resolution, and people skills.
2. Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications:

1. Maintenance: 2 years.
2. Food Safety and Awareness: 2 years.
3. Mechanical: 2 years.
4. Appliance repairs: 2 years.
5. Vehicle to travel to other RJW Locations.
6. Safety/ Forklift training.
7. AIB Audit/ Organic Audit knowledge.
8. OSHA Standards.

Education and/or Experience Required:

1. High school or equivalent.
2. Running a high volume of training courses to certify material handlers on equipment.
3. Concrete drilling and power tool knowledge.
4. Leadership of janitorial/ housekeeping staff.
