Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Story City, IA Distribution Center. Manage and coordinate a 1st shift team, lead safety initiatives, and drive efficient warehouse operations in a 1-shift/5-days-a-week schedule.

You will be responsible for talent management, scheduling, and maintaining quality, inventory control, and service standards across the site. Collaboration with sales, customer service, and other locations is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
• Supervisory Experience: 1+ years of experience managing people.
• Candidates in rotational Land O'Lakes programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered.
• Leadership: 2+ years of experience with operations and/or warehouse management.
• Technology: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software.

Warehouse Supervisor, 1st Shift

This role is part of our WinField United business who supplies agricultural inputs, expertise, and technology to our member-owners and other partners.

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to manage and coordinate the work of our warehouse employees.

You will be responsible for warehouse operations at the Story City, IA Distribution Center.

Your role will include providing leadership, direction and development of warehouse employees in a 1-shift/5-days a week operation.

You will lead and develop the 1st shift staff at our location.

Key responsibilities include talent management and scheduling staff, supply chain operations and management, compliance & safety training and oversight, and other duties as assigned.

You will contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of safety, production, service, quality, inventory control standards and employee development for the site.

You will maintain effective business relationships with local sales team members, customer service and other Winfield locations as well as corporate shared services business partners.

Required Experience/Education

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required
• Supervisory Experience: 1+ years of experience managing people
• Candidates in the rotational Land O'Lakes programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered.

Leadership and Technology

• Leadership: 2+ years of experience with operations and/or warehouse management.
• Ability to demonstrate successful past leadership in operations, warehouse management, and/or managing personnel
• Technology: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software

Preferred Experience/Education

• Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field
• Supervisory Experience: 5+ years or more experience managing people
• Budgeting/Forecasting: practice experience building sales and inventory forecasts, collaborating with internal supply chain partners, and/or managing a substantial budget
• Regulations/Compliance: Experience working with DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and other compliance/safety procedures.

Physical Requirements when working in the warehouse

Able to lift/carry up to 60 pounds. Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements. Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment. Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present.

Operational Hours

Location operates 1 shifts/5 days a week; weekends as needed. This role will work the hours of (7:30 am to 4:30pm) but may need to work evenings and weekends to keep up with business needs.

Salary Range

$70,800 to $106,200

In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.
