Job summary

Land O’Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Distribution Center Supervisor for the 1st shift at the Fort Worth, TX site. The role leads a 1st shift team, coordinates warehouse operations, and ensures safety, quality, and on-time performance in a two-shift, five-day operation.

The candidate will manage staff performance, scheduling, and development, while maintaining strong relationships with sales, customer service, and manufacturing leadership to meet site goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience managing people.
• 2+ years of warehouse/distribution center operations with leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and mobile devices.
• Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with forecasting sales and inventory; budgeting.
• Experience with DOT regulations, EH&S programs and safety procedures.
• Forklift experience.
• SAP experience is highly preferred.

Warehouse Supervisor, 1st Shift

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business who serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States. We innovate nutritional products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.

We are looking for a Warehouse Distribution Center Supervisor to manage and coordinate the work of our warehouse employees. You will be responsible for warehouse operations at the Southwest Distribution Center (SWDC) located in Fort Worth, TX. Your role will include providing leadership, direction and development of warehouse employees in a 2-shift/5-days a week operation. You will lead and develop the 1st shift staff at our location.

Key responsibilities include talent management and scheduling staff, supply chain operations and management, compliance & safety training and oversight, and other duties as assigned. You will contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of safety, production, service, quality, inventory control standards and employee development for the site. You will maintain effective business relationships with local sales team members, customer service and manufacturing plant leadership as well as corporate shared services business partners.

Required Experience/Education

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required
• Leadership: 1+ years of experience managing people
• Candidates in the rotational Land O’Lakes programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered
• Experience: 2+ years of experience with warehouse/distribution center operations including demonstrated success progression with leadership or operations
• Technology: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software
• Preferred Education/Experience: Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field
• Supervisory Experience: 5+ years or more experience managing people
• Budgeting/Forecasting: practice experience building sales and inventory forecasts, collaborating with internal supply chain partners, and/or managing a substantial budget
• Regulations/Compliance: Experience working with DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and other compliance/safety procedures
• Skills: Forklift experience
• Technology: SAP experience is highly preferred

Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements when working in the warehouse: Able to lift/carry up to 60 pounds Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present.

Shift

This role will work the hours of 1st shift (5:00AM to 2:00PM) but may need to fill in on other shifts as necessary to keep up with business needs. Location operates 2 shifts/5 days a week; weekend coverage will be expected as needed.

Salary

Salary Range: $70,800 - $106,200 In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges
