Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Plant/Warehouse Supervisor to guide a team toward optimal productivity, quality, and safety. You will recruit, train, and manage staff while maintaining budgets and deadlines in a fully onsite Wichita, KS operation.

You will oversee operations, coach employees, conduct reviews, and ensure safety compliance. The role emphasizes communication with customers and suppliers and requires experience in metals handling and lean practices.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills required (high school diploma or equivalent).
• Basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
• Understanding of equipment and tolerances.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.

Responsibilities

• Meet production and distribution objectives within the established budget.
• Teach, coach, and demonstrate work activities for team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
• Coordinate, assign, and review work.
• Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
• Ensure team members receive required instruction in safety procedures and equipment use.
• Maintain professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Manage effective record keeping, filing, and other administrative duties.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately and forward reports to the Operations Manager within 24 hours.
• Monitor working conditions to ensure safety and take corrective action as required.
• Apply problem-solving techniques to resolve personnel and quality issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.

• Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices, and sales functions.
