Responsibilities
We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations in our toner warehouse and help keep materials and products moving efficiently through the manufacturing process. In this key leadership role, you’ll coordinate priorities, drive workflow, and create daily and weekly schedules that keep the team on track to meet warehouse goals while upholding SEQCD standards.
- Model the “safety first” behaviors we expect of all employees by ensuring that operational procedures and processes are performed safely and provide a safe work environment.
- Plan and establish daily and weekly work schedules and assignments to meet warehouse goals while maintaining SEQCD standards.
- Communicate trains and enforce adherence to company policies and procedures; recommend changes to daily procedures.
- Coordinate, monitor and participate in the flow of materials and finished goods in and out of the warehouse. Confirm completion of daily material movement, shipping and receiving plans and schedules. Monitor finished product packaging. Maintain picking, shipping and receiving records and other related files.
- Supervise physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation processes.
- Submit work orders for warehouse and equipment maintenance or repair.
- May supervise or participate in activities to support Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ). May coordinate the pickup and disposal of hazardous waste materials and/or recycling.
- Prepare periodic W/H operator performance reports to identify gaps in daily inventory transactions via scanning material to AS400 systems (R21 or RIPICS).
- Track and consolidate productivity and quality statistics.
Experience & Qualifications
Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Required experience and skills:
- Demonstrated positive leadership skills with a history of teambuilding to support company initiatives; supervising experience, including giving daily work direction, training and coaching for development, managing the work performance of the team, conducting performance reviews, recommending personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions, disciplinary actions).
- Experience overseeing operations in a shipping/warehouse environment.
- Willingness and ability to be on the ground floor to support day‑to‑day warehouse operations and lend a helping hand; supervisor will be expected to spend approximately 60% of time on the floor.
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours outside of normal schedule (7 AM – 4 PM, Monday – Friday) to support 24/7 operations; ability to work 45–50 hour work weeks.
- Good problem‑solving skills to resolve routine to moderately complex problems to ensure warehousing activities are carried out according to schedule and established requirements.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience writing procedures, creating forms, visual aids, graphs, and presentations; ability to design and present quality PowerPoint presentations to all levels of employees.
Physical Requirements
Must be willing and able to:
- Sit at a computer up to 60% of the time.
- Walk and stand up to 100% of the time.
- Bend, kneel, climb stairs, twist/turn, and carry items up to 15 lbs. up to 30% of the time.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts. Use a Raymond forklift that can raise up to 30 ft in the air up to 100% of the time.
- Work in a warehouse environment with moderate noise level, and moderate temperature ranging from 40 °F to 90 °F.
