Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead the warehousing team to ensure uninterrupted material flow from the receiving dock to lineside storage locations, timely shipping, and effective inventory management. The successful candidate will have experience managing warehouse teams, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized warehouse environment. This role is essential in supporting factory operations and maintaining smooth production workflows.

  • Team Leadership: Foster a fun, collaborative, safety-first environment. Train and mentor warehouse staff, ensuring high performance and accountability to standard operating procedures.
  • Daily Warehouse Operations: Assess daily labor requirements across all warehouse functions and assign team members accordingly. Distribute ad hoc tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion.
  • Inventory Management: Drive inventory accuracy through implementation of a cycle count program, process improvements, and regular communication of process failures. Define and manage inventory reconciliation processes to promptly resolve discrepancies.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials. Resolve shipment-related issues, including damaged goods, delays, or documentation errors. Coordinate outbound shipments of finished goods.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in material handling processes, storage solutions, and automation within the warehouse and for material transfers to lineside locations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce all safety regulations and protocols. Conduct regular safety checks and maintain a culture of safety within the team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to the production line and promptly address or escalate material shortages or issues.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse layout. Optimize storage locations and ensure accessibility for efficient material retrieval.
Key Qualifications
  • Proven ability to build a fun, collaborative, and highly accountable team environment.
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role—preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing best practices, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory control principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Additional Qualifications Desired
  • Experience in the manufacturing or renewable energy industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of lean warehousing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment.

Work Location: Onsite - San Jose, CA

Salary Range: $52/hr - $60/hr

Sala ry Basis: Annual

The actual salary offered will be within the posted range and determined based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experiences, credentials and expertise, as they pertain to the position's requirements.
