Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead and supervise warehouse associates per shift, driving productivity, safety, and operational goals on the floor. You will walk the warehouse floor, coach employees in real time, monitor shipping/receiving, and leverage WMS data to improve performance and accountability.

The role requires hands-on leadership with the ability to resolve issues quickly, manage 10+ staff, and maintain focus on KPIs and continuous improvement in a high-volume

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams of 10+ in a fast-paced distribution/warehouse.
• Experience using WMS to drive performance and operational decisions.
• Proven ability to coach, manage performance, and handle difficult conversations.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise warehouse associates during the assigned shiftServe as the primary leader on the floor, ensuring productivity, safety, and operational goals are achievedSpend the majority of the shift walking the warehouse floor, coaching employees and addressing issues in real timeMonitor shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy and efficiencyUtilize WMS and operational data to identify trends, improve performance, and drive accountabilityManage employee performance, provide coaching, and conduct difficult conversations when necessaryTroubleshoot conveyor system-related workflow issues and escape equipment concerns appropriatelyTrack and communicate shift performance metrics to warehouse leadershipDrive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the warehouse operation

Skills and Requirements

Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor in a distribution, logistics, or warehouse environmentExperience leading teams of 10+ employees in a fast-paced operationShipping and receiving supervision experienceStrong leadership skills with the ability to be the primary floor leader and decision maker for the operationExperience utilizing WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) to analyze data, drive performance, and make operational decisionsAbility to coach employees, address performance concerns, and manage difficult conversations professionallyHands-on leadership style with the expectation of spending the majority of the shift on the warehouse floorExperience overseeing conveyor-based warehouse operationsStrong understanding of warehouse KPIs, productivity metrics, and operational performance managementAbility to multitask and quickly resolve operational issues in a high-volume environmentExperience within food distribution, grocery, or high-volume distribution centersBackground managing larger teams of 20+ employeesExperience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimizationExposure to multiple warehouse functions including inventory, replenishment, and outbound operationsTransportation leadership experience combined with warehouse supervision experienceLean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence experience
