Job summary

Vanicream™ Sensitive Skin Care in Rochester, MN is seeking a warehouse supervisor to direct and coordinate all activities of the warehouse. This role requires leading a team, optimizing distribution of raw materials and finished goods, and ensuring operations meet cGMP and safety standards.

You will manage daily schedules, conduct training, and partner with QA, Sales, and others to improve service delivery. The position offers full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to three years of warehouse management experience.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to obtain industrial powered forklift certification.

Job description

The primary role of this position is to direct and coordinate all activities of the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • This position requires an enthusiastic team player with high energy and leadership skills.
  • Supervises daily activities and performance of warehouse associates engaged in distributing raw materials, finished goods, equipment, and supplies for production and plant operations.
  • Ensure warehouse activities are performed in accordance with cGMP and safety standards.
  • Responsible for inventory control activities, including cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
  • Perform and delegate training tasks as necessary.
  • Supports the Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training program and delivers training to operations associates.
  • Leads coordination of warehouse activities, partnering with Account Support, Quality Assurance, and Sales & Marketing to optimize operations and service delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, including process optimization and evaluation of automation opportunities.
  • Manages inbound and outbound delivery schedules.
  • Write job instructions for warehouse operations.
  • Help implement safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leads daily and weekly team huddles to communicate priorities, share updates, and drive operational goals.
  • Provide feedback to team and management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
  • This position manages daily activities of the department and is responsible for the performance management and care of the warehouses.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving parts and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can be from moderate to loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.

  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
USUAL WORKING HOURS
  • Monday – Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Capability to work extended hours if necessary.
TRAVEL
  • This position may be required to travel for educational or training purposes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of experience in warehouse management.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Mathematical skills- Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Language skills- must be able to read, record and speak the English language.
  • Reasoning ability- must have the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
  • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations- must be able to obtain an industrial powered forklift certification.
  • Must have clear vision from twenty inches to twenty feet and must be able to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
