Floor & Decor in Plano, TX is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, supervise warehouse staff, and coordinate with Receiving and Inventory Control to ensure timely processing of shipments and receipts. The role requires strong supervisory and organizational skills, plus the ability to manage safety programs and labor relations.

Responsibilities include scheduling, directing daily activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and addressing discrepancies.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervision experience, preferably in warehouse or distribution center.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to delegate and follow up.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to coordinate with other departments.
• Competent in basic math calculations; ability to perform standard warehouse calculations.

Responsabilités

• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Oversee safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance and a safe workspace.
• Supervise warehouse staff (specialists, order pickers, forklift operators) and address disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate with Receiving and Inventory Control to ensure timely data entry and discrepancy resolution.
• Prepare activity reports for management and monitor workflow between Receiving and Inventory Control.

PURPOSEThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store. In addition, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators; will support the Receiving Supervisor in managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning in order to ship and receive products at the store in a productive and cost-efficient mannerDirect the day-to day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.Responsible for the warehouse as it pertains to Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of productsResponsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and communicating all necessary repairs to CEM and/or Operations Manager. Ensure that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functionsResponsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulationsEnsure all associates are trained and following all standard operating proceduresResponsible for the progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the warehouse operationHandle general employee inquiries and solves problemsCoordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operationsComplete necessary Activity Reports for managementMonitor the flow of paperwork from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entryResolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reportsResponsible for the execution of the Storage Buy Audit COP.Ensure products are staged for counting and inspectionEnsure products are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety proceduresOversee the rotation of inventories within the warehousePerform other related duties as directed by managementMINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skillsAbility to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the companyEffective communication skills (oral and written)Competent in performing basic mathematical calculationsStrong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systemsAbility to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlinesAvailable to work extended hours, especially during peak seasonsWORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
