Job summary

STG Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to partner with the terminal manager in daily warehouse operations, drive productivity, and lead a hands-on team including temporary staff. You will oversee receiving, put-away, outbound shipments, and safety programs to ensure top performance.

The role emphasizes planning resources, enforcing policies, and maintaining accurate inventories while promoting teamwork and clear communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years' experience in warehouse or logistics operations.

• Knowledge of safety regulations, equipment handling, and OSHA standards.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.

• Responsible for supervising staffing: selecting, orienting, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance appraisals; aligning with policies.
• Maintain employee schedules to meet customer and company needs.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
• Participate in quarterly safety meetings and escalate issues to the terminal manager.

Summary:

As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will work closely with the terminal manager on the daily warehouse operations and managing the workload. You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills. Implement process improvements in a metric-driven fast-paced warehouse handling freight of all sizes, weights and configurations including out-of-gauge and hazardous materials. Responsible for all activities including receiving, put-away, outbound shipments, customer pickups, housekeeping, facility management, safety, and security. You will help manage the staff and have a hands-on approach to promote productivity, teamwork, and communication among STG warehouse employees and temporary workers.

• Responsible for selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and any corrective action for employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; and adhering to policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining employee schedules that meet customer and company needs.
• Maintains a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
• Participates in quarterly safety meetings and ensures all issues are promptly brought to the attention of the terminal manager.
