Job summary

Finlays Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to support plant operations by supervising the receipt of packaging materials, raw ingredients, and equipment, and coordinating finished goods shipments with a safety-first approach.

You will manage daily warehouse tasks, coach team members, and collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure food safety and accuracy in all inbound and outbound activities. This role emphasizes leadership and reliable execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems – SAGE experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for identifying process issues and implementing practical solutions under minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing shift workflows, and adapting to shifting production demands.
  • Competent in basic mathematics and able to work with weights, measures, and calculators.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols and basic food production principles is a plus.
  • Reliable, hands-on, and team-oriented with initiative and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead warehouse team activities using the daily shipping schedule to ensure efficient inbound and outbound trailer flow.
  • Schedule personnel to meet inbound, outbound, and production support requirements.
  • Oversee inspection and release of outbound finished goods to meet quality standards and pallet configurations.
  • Ensure inbound raw materials and packaging supplies are received in acceptable condition and document discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Coordinate with other department supervisors for smooth daily operations.
  • Monitor and replenish departmental supplies within budget.
  • Be the primary contact for forklift-related concerns and coordinate maintenance.
  • Foster growth through coaching and performance feedback; enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
  • Approve time records, PTO requests, and attendance; perform other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for guiding, assisting, training, mentoring and leading the warehouse team in the completion of daily warehouse duties in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. The supervisor’s responsibilities include troubleshooting any logistics or warehouse operations as necessary and schedule/support the warehouse team. All CPS Supervisors have the responsibility to work with the Quality Department to ensure food safety.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Utilize the daily shipping schedule to plan, coordinate, and lead warehouse team activities, ensuring the efficient and timely flow of both inbound and outbound trailers throughout the daySchedule warehouse personnel effectively to meet daily inbound, outbound, and production support requirementsPartner with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all trailers are loaded and unloaded on schedule, minimizing delays and maximizing dock utilizationOversee the inspection and release of outbound finished goods, ensuring shipments meet all quality standards including correct pallet configurations, product integrity, trailer cleanliness, weight compliance, and order accuracyEnsure all inbound raw materials and packaging supplies are received in acceptable condition, with any discrepancies or damages promptly documented and addressedCollaborate with the Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accurate inventoryWork collaboratively with other department supervisors to ensure smooth execution of daily operations across the entire facilityMonitor and replenish departmental supplies as needed and within approved budgetServe as the primary point of contact for all forklift-related concerns. Coordinate with the forklift maintenance provider to ensure the fleet remains in optimal operating conditionFoster employee growth through coaching and performance feedbackManage accurate and timely approval of time records, paid time off requests, and attendance accountabilityPromote and enforce adherence to all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment at all timesPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required.
