Job summary

Salvation Army in Memphis, TN is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations at ARC-MEMPHIS ARC WAREHOUSE. You will oversee staff, oversee donation receipt, unloading, sorting, pricing, and distribution to stores, while ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

This full-time, day-shift role requires a High School Diploma or GED and prior supervisory experience in a warehouse or retail setting. A valid driver's license and forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred with 2 years of supervisory warehouse/retail experience.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate staff, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Strong organization and attention to security of donated items.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Train and instruct supervisors and staff on procedures and safety.
• Receive, unload, sort, price, and distribute donated items timely and cost-effectively.
• Monitor productivity and allocate staff accordingly.
• Ensure accountability and security of all warehouse items and equipment.
• Coordinate auction operations and ensure compliance with auction rules.

Supervises, plans, coordinates and monitors the day-to-day operations of the warehouse; trains and instructs shops' supervisor and employees in the proper methods, procedures, and safety precautions; ensures that donated items are received, unloaded, sorted, priced, and distributed in a timely and economical manner; monitors productivity level of warehouse operations and allocates staff accordingly; ensures the accountability and security of all warehouse items and equipment; serves as a liaison to the Store Supervisor ensuring the stores receive the needed merchandise; supervises and coordinates auction operations and ensures compliance with auction rules and regulations.

QualificationsEducation and Experience

High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred and two years of progressively responsible experience working in a warehouse or retail establishment with some supervisor experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
