Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in the United States is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehousing operations and ensure accurate inventory control. You will establish procedures for receiving, shipping, and material handling while coordinating with production, sales, and purchasing to keep activities aligned.

The role requires minimum supervision experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to use PC-based programs and invoicing systems.

Qualifications

• Six months’ warehouse supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Establish operational procedures for receiving/shipping and inventory control.
• Inspect warehouse and equipment; prepare work orders for repairs.
• Coordinate with department heads across production, sales, records, and purchasing.
• Direct salvage of damaged or used material.
• Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
• Operate PC-based programs and invoicing systems.

The Warehouse Supervisor directs warehousing activities for organization.

Responsibilities:

• Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Prepare work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
• Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
• Direct salvage of damaged or used material.
• Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
• Ability to operate and understand various PC based programs and invoicing systems.
