What You Will Be Doing

Lead associates during a specific shift/area, supervising warehouse operations to ensure functions are performed within company and distribution center guidelines. Provide excellent customer service through accurate handling of inbound and outbound products.

Main Responsibilities

• Coach and engage hourly associates to achieve high productivity, safety, and quality
• Develop effective leadership skills and tactics during daily operations
• Motivate associates through positive reinforcement and behavior
• Promote a safety culture through example, observation, feedback, and relations
• Coordinate with peer leaders to balance workflow
• Make decisions consistent with union labor agreements
• Regularly walk the warehouse to ensure sanitation and quality compliance
• Maintain visibility and support an open-door policy
• Use technology systems to investigate operational issues
• Coordinate weekly work schedules
• Communicate with the Transportation Department to manage inbound/outbound flow
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Inventory Control, Procurement, Maintenance, and Sanitation

The salary range is $62,727-$78,434.50 annually, with starting salary depending on location, experience, and qualifications. Flexibility may be available for exceptional candidates.

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have strong knowledge of warehouse operations with leadership experience
• Possess supervisory skills and the ability to work through others
• Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Can generate, read, and interpret computerized reports
• Can juggle operational and administrative tasks to meet deadlines
• Can concentrate amid interruptions
• Have basic computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems

Physical Environment

• Will be moving around the warehouse floor during part of the workday
• Potential hazards include machinery like forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanized systems
• Warehouse temperatures may vary from –20 to 70 degrees; noise levels are within acceptable ranges
• May sit for long periods at a desk or computer
