Job summary

Rexel Atlantic in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, schedule staff, and promote safety and efficiency. The role emphasizes team development and cross-training while maintaining equipment and workplace standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a comparable role.
• Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to operate a Reach lift; Forklift would be an asset.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety practices within a Distribution Centre.
• Forklift experience or certificate would be an asset.
• Must possess ability to build a team, excellent organizational skills.
• Must have an operations and sales focus.
• Should be able to multitask and must have great communication.

Responsibilities

• Administering workflow and preparing work schedules of team members to meet customer service demands.
• Training employees on proper processes and sub-processes as determined by the Warehouse Manager.
• Determining which positions should be rotated and considered for training and encourage cross training between all team members.
• Ensuring that all team members achieve proper housekeeping within area of responsibility so that the area is well maintained, productive and in compliance.
• Responsibility for proper maintenance and usage of equipment and machinery.
• Ensuring that all health and safety measures are followed.
