Warehouse Supervisor - Fort Worth Alliance, TX
Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities. The position ensures that warehouse processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and safely while meeting organizational goals and customer expectations, lead and develop warehouse staff, monitor performance metrics and drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate warehouse staff, ensuring clear communication of daily tasks and alignment with productivity goals.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by overseeing regular cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
  • Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, order picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Enforce workplace safety standards, conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, and ensure proper handling of materials and equipment.
  • Promote a culture of safety among all staff.
  • Identify inefficiencies in warehouse workflows and implement improvement strategies to optimize operations, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.
  • Monitor key warehouse metrics (e.g., order accuracy, inventory turnover, shipping performance) and prepare reports to evaluate operations and recommend enhancements
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners.
  • Manage inventory of consumables, such as packing materials, to avoid disruptions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years in a warehouse or logistics environment with 2 years minimum in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus) and inventory management tools.
  • Forklift certification and OSHA certification are a plus.

  • Leadership, team building, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, expertise in warehouse management and inventory control, best practices, proficiency in using WMS or ERP systems and MS Office tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality with the ability to adapt to changes and be a problem solver in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment and the environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter.
  • Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting (requires team lift).
