Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply in Farmers Branch, TX is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Wire Room to lead a team and ensure accurate fulfillment of wire orders.

You will oversee receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and picking, while maintaining safety and high quality standards for customers; flexibility for shifts and some overnights may be required. This hands-on role requires identifying products by code and using barcoding equipment.

Qualifications

Job description

Warehouse Supervisor-Wire Room Hours: Generally, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. However, must be flexible to work other shifts including some overnight shifts to meet the needs of the business.

Supervise a team of warehouse personnel in the Wire Room to ensure fulfillment of wire orders. Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the Warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred. Able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code. Must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked. Basic math skills and reasoning skills. Certification of power-truck equipment. Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices.

Physical Requirements:

Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment Position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing. Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The ability to work in a constant state of alert and a safe manner.
