Position Summary
This critical leadership role is responsible for ensuring best‑in‑class daily operations within the El Paso Distribution Center while fostering a safe, engaged, and high‑performing work environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead shipping, receiving, inventory control, cross‑dock, and kitting operations while driving continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

El Paso, TX – 1st Shift (Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑4:30 PM MST)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, develop, and motivate a team of warehouse associates and team leads.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment.
- Conduct regular employee coaching, performance discussions, and development activities.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, workload balancing, and manpower planning.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Support team engagement initiatives and help drive a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead by example through strong safety, quality, and performance standards.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, cross‑dock, inventory control, replenishment, and kitting activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate appointments for inbound and outbound freight activities.
- Ensure all loads are properly prepared, secured, and shipped on time.
- Review warehouse processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer service.
- Work closely with customer service, quality, buyers, planners, transportation providers, and other internal stakeholders to support operational excellence.
- Maintain overall building conditions including cleanliness, organization, product storage, security, and damage prevention.
Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Promote and maintain a zero‑incident safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety observations, audits, hazard assessments, and related site initiatives.
- Support 5S and continuous improvement activities throughout the warehouse.
- Drive process improvements that reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance service levels.
- Participate in and support improvement events and operational projects.
Inventory & Performance Management
- Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory control programs.
- Monitor warehouse performance through key operational metrics and KPIs.
- Utilize WMS and ERP data to analyze productivity and identify improvement opportunities.
- Prepare, monitor, and communicate operational performance metrics.
- Manage departmental performance across areas such as safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, on‑time delivery, and quality.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of operational paperwork and system transactions.
- Manage timekeeping, vacation approvals, attendance tracking, and performance documentation.
- Control departmental labor and supply costs.
- Ensure proper utilization of warehouse equipment and resources.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or related operations leadership experience.
- Experience supervising hourly employees in a fast‑paced warehouse or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, improving performance, and managing employee relations.
- Experience managing operational KPIs and productivity metrics.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred).
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, or JDE.
- Lean, Six Sigma, Green Belt, or continuous improvement training.
- Experience in high‑SKU distribution environments.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and practices.
- Experience facilitating improvement events.
- UPS/FedEx shipping systems experience.
- RF scanner experience.
- Knowledge of customs documentation requirements.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to moderate noise levels, varying temperatures, and weather conditions including heat, humidity, and cold.
- Regular exposure to forklift traffic and warehouse equipment is expected.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and move boxes and warehouse product throughout the workday.
