Midwest Refrigerated Services, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the 1st shift in Yorkville, IL. This full-time role oversees the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and leads a team to ensure safety, accuracy, and on-time shipping.

The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse leadership, basic computer skills, and the ability to work a long shift. Salary is $60,000 per year with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks
• Prior leadership experience in a warehouse setting preferred
• Familiarity with RF-controlled inventory systems
• Experience handling food products is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to shipping office personnel
• Ensure compliance with all MRS policies and standard operating procedures
• Address and resolve issues involving customers, carriers, and drivers
• Manage Over, Short, and Damaged (OS&D) claims
• Maintain accurate documentation for accessorial charges
• Oversee employee performance and administer disciplinary actions as needed
• Monitor operations to ensure alignment with benchmarking standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues
• Contribute to hiring and staffing decisions through feedback and recommendations
• Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions held outside of regular hours
• Take part in incident investigations and reporting processes
• Provide coverage for other supervisors during scheduled time off
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Warehouse Supervisor: 1st Shift 6:00am - 5:30pm Tuesday - Friday

The Warehouse Supervisor is directly responsible for all activities of the employees reporting to them. The supervisor will be responsible for either the day or night team that operates the warehouse. Supervisor ensures the following: safe work environment, exceptional sanitation.
