Job summary

Courtyard is hiring a Vault Area Supervisor to build and own daily operations for a core fulfillment function in a fast-growing startup. You’ll lead on-floor teams, partner with engineering, product, and support to craft SOPs, training, and scalable processes, turning data into daily decisions to hit ambitious KPIs.

The role requires hands-on leadership, comfort with ambiguity, and a track record of delivering improvements in a warehouse or fulfillment setting.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in fulfillment centers, warehouses, or logistics networks.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-scaling fulfillment or warehouse environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on the floor for extended periods in a hands-on leadership role.
  • Builder mentality with comfort working in ambiguity, and experience leading projects from start to reaching the intended customer.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use insights to drive daily execution and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including reporting, trend analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with process improvements (Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Process)

Responsibilities

  • Train, support, and develop hourly workforce; Associate & Shift Leads
  • Lead safety, quality, productivity initiatives to protect associate and customer experience
  • Collaborate with operations partners including engineering, customer support, and human resources to build plans targeting emerging KPI targets
  • Create SOPs for emerging processes to support new verticals
  • Create training documentation for newly hired team members
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement by implementing new processes, encouraging feedback from the floor, and driving efficiency improvements

Job Summary

We are seeking a Vault Area Supervisor who enjoys building operations from the ground up. You’ll drive daily performance goals while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. This role will own day-to-day execution within a core department, partnering across engineering, product, finance, and customer support to build the SOPs, training, and tools that let new verticals scale.

The ideal candidate is a builder who’s comfortable in ambiguity, hands‑on on the floor and skilled at turning data into daily decisions. You should be excited about setting the thresholds the operation runs within and holding your team to tough but achievable goals, given the value of what passes through our vault every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Train, support, and develop hourly workforce; Associate & Shift Leads

Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
  • Climb and descend stairs
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in fulfillment centers, warehouses, or logistics networks.
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, shift, or work area, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Experience managing teams in a fast‑scaling fulfillment or warehouse environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on the floor for extended periods in a hands‑on leadership role, consistent with the physical requirements above
  • Builder mentality with comfort working in ambiguity, and experience leading projects from start to reaching the intended customer
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
