Job summary

Champro in Bannockburn, IL is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse team in a fast-paced distribution center. The role emphasizes safety, performance, and continuous improvement within a 200,000 sq ft facility, Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM.

You will influence daily operations, train staff, optimize processes, and ensure on-time delivery while meeting KPI targets. Strong SAP/WMS experience and bilingual (Spanish) are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• GED or higher; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of shipping logistics and distribution operations.
• Experience in a distribution facility; flexibility to cover shifts.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data-entry software; SAP/WMS/RF preferred.

Position

The position supervises the daily activities of the warehouse team during a given shift. Must be able to influence the team to provide world class customer service in a fast-paced environment while not compromising safety. The supervisor provides leadership, motivation, training, and development to the team while driving continuous improvement, safety adherence and optimization of operations efficiently through data.

Responsibilities

• Supervises warehouse team members and daily activities
• Fosters a best place to work culture through employment engagement
• Manages, evaluates and reports on warehouse productivity
• Tracks and coordinates the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
• Drives Safety culture through facilitating safety meetings and assuring the maintenance of a safe work environment
• Orders supplies and maintains suitable inventory levels
• Communicates and coordinates with both internal and external customers
• Creates shifts turnover reports to communicate to extended leadership team
• Hires, trains and monitors employee performance against company KPI’s
• Prepares and reconciles required production and inventory reports
• Cross-trains employees in all warehouse operations
• Provides project assistance to Operations Manager or Director as required
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws, as well as occupational health and safety regulations
• Undertake other duties as assigned
• Proactively manages advanced replens, direct moves and letdowns daily.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
• GED of higher, Bachelor's preferred
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Understanding of shipping logistics preferred
• Previous experience in a distribution facility preferred
• Prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Must be able to interact with Champro customers and teammates
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and data entry software
• Previous SAP/ WMS/ RF or related experience is preferred
• Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
• Previous experience in performance management
• Flexibility to cover any shifts as needed
• LEAN Warehousing experienced a plus
• Power Equipment experience preferred
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
