Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control or material handling preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift or other material-handling equipment is a plus.
• Comfortable using scanners and computerized inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify quantities and documentation.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping abilities.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for company vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming freight and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
• Compare incoming freight against freight bills, packing slips, and purchase orders to verify accuracy.
• Investigate shipping errors and improper deliveries.
• Process and enter received freight into inventory and receiving systems.
• Prepare requisitions for materials, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Warehouse and distribute materials to the appropriate department.
• Conduct periodic physical inventories using scanners or inventory systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare reports.
• Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment as required.
• Drive company vehicles to deliver or retrieve parts, materials, and supplies.
