Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, is hiring for a 1st shift warehouse role in Des Moines, IA. This position supports inventory control and material handling in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will operate forklift equipment, participate in AS400-related tasks, perform cycle counts, lock trailers, and may train others. Shift is 7am–3pm on weekdays, with requirements for lifting up to 80 lbs and readiness to work in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in a warehouse position.
• Ability to operate lift truck equipment and pass the Mohawk lift truck certification.
• Working knowledge of AS400 system, or willingness to learn system operation.
• Able to lift minimum of 80 lbs several times per shift.
• Able to work in warehouse environment, subject to periods of extreme heat and cold.
• Must be able to work day or night shifts and maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and other lift truck equipment in assigned facility.
• Operate Glad Hand Locks to lock trailers.
• Perform cycle counts and other inventory control functions.
• Operate AS400 Plan Loader to receive trucks and manage doors.
• May train others in warehouse functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
