AFR Furniture Rental is seeking a Warehouse Specialist - Lead for our Huntington Beach, CA location. You will guide warehouse staff, perform incoming/outgoing merchandise duties, and handle deliveries and pickups.

The role requires lifting heavy items, operating RF devices, and ensuring paperwork aligns with the NAV system. This position is on first shift with overtime as needed; forklift certification is preferred and prior warehouse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment preferred; no experience required.
• Forklift license or certified forklift operation is required.

Job description

American Furniture Rental (AFR) is looking a for a Warehouse Specialist for our location in Huntington Beach, California.

Must work prior in a warehouse. Able to lift couches, chairs, tables, load and unload trucks.

The Warehouse Specialist - Lead is responsible for performing all duties related to incoming and outgoing merchandise at AFR's warehouse. Will be responsible for guiding employees and acting as a working leader. Being responsible for performing all duties related to incoming and outgoing merchandise and complete assigned deliveries and pick-ups. The specialist will work 1st shift with occasional overtime when needed according to location and business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unload/Load trucks using an RF scanning device.
• Compare paperwork to NAV inventory system.
• Check NAV to ensure all Inventory has been scanned according to Order paperwork.
• Post all collections and deliveries.
• Confirm all paperwork and pickups via Logistics Dashboard.
• Touch Up and reclass merchandise in warehouse using appropriate product protection.
• Lift, carry and place products into and take out of racks.
• Inspect merchandise for any damage or breakage prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
• Record all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate paperwork and report to Management.
• Complete inventory preparation for warehouse stock.
• Stage merchandise to prepare for shipment as needed.
• Fill customer order in accordance with Pick Tickets, complete appropriate paperwork, and place a copy with the merchandise for shipment.
• Scan all orders and print pre-shipment paperwork as appropriate.
• Operate forklift, palette jack and hand trucks following all safety guidelines.
• Always maintain a neat and orderly workplace.
• All warehouse personnel are required to sweep up and remove / dispose of debris.
• Follow safety procedures in accordance with training and report any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

LEAD RESPONSIBILITES:

• Informally monitor employee performance and provide feedback to management on issues/concerns.
• Provide backup in absence of supervisor.
• Demonstrate expected safe work habits to others - lead by example and demonstrate and follow all safety practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

• No experience is required but prior warehouse experience will be considered.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

Forklift license, certified by AFR.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• This job will require the employee to stand and walk 90% of the time.
• Ability to perform simple tasks, rational thinking and numerical calculations is required.
• This job will require lifting and/or moving objects up to 75 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and being physically active for extended periods of time.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Good oral, written and reading communication skills.
• Time Management with excellent Organization and planning skills.
• Available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
