Job summary

Duncan Aviation in Lincoln, NE seeks a Warehouse Specialist to accurately fill customer parts orders, maintain inventory, process returns, and prepare shipments using Duncan procedures. The role requires safety, timely work and strong customer service for internal and external inquiries.

You will operate forklift, unload/load trucks and assist with receiving and emergency shipments as needed. High school diploma and at least one year in warehousing/parts duties are required; forklift

• Must have Forklift Certification and valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
• At least 1 year of warehousing, parts, shipping or receiving experience.
• Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer parts orders with accurate quantities, part numbers and descriptions.
• Maintain inventory and document movements in the RF system.
• Perform RF cycle counts and manual counts to ensure inventory integrity.
• Process returns, credits and salvages as needed.
• Prepare parts shipments with proper packaging and shipping documentation.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments per FAA regulations and Duncan procedures.
• Unload/load delivery trucks using a forklift and note any damage.
• Coordinate emergency shipments with carriers as required.

Job description

The Warehouse Specialist accurately fills customers' parts orders, maintains inventory, processes returns, and maintains tools in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures. In addition, this position professionally responds to internal and external customer parts' inquiries using the highest standard of customer service; prepares parts for shipping, and/or receives incoming shipments in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures; and loads and unloads delivery trucks using forklift.

Essential Job Functions

1. Performs accurate and timely warehouse functions in the following areas.

• Fills customers' request for parts including verifying proper quantities, part numbers, part description, condition code, lot numbers/expiration dates, etc. Responds to internal and external customers' inquiries regarding parts issues including tracking of goods using internal and external systems and researching open orders and lost parts
• Maintains integrity of inventory system by accurately documenting parts' movements in the computer as well as the RF System (i.e. warehouse moves, order fulfillment, credits and put a ways, etc.).
• Maintains accurate inventory by performing RF cycle counts and manual counts.
• Handles returns, credits and salvages as necessary.
• Prepares parts shipments by inspecting and safely packaging parts, performing shipment entry, producing correct documentation and accurately coding shipping costs for billing.
• Processes incoming shipments, verifies shipment with purchase orders, and visually inspects materials for damage, quantity, descriptions, part number, serial number, condition order, etc. per FAA regulations and Duncan approved procedures.
• Unloads and loads delivery trucks using a forklift in a safe and timely manner. Visually inspects materials for obvious damage, properly documents any damage(s), and notifies appropriate team member of any damage.
• Coordinates emergency shipments with appropriate carrier according to Duncan Aviation approved procedures as necessary.

2. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Specific Requirements

• Licenses/Certificates: Forklift Certification; valid driver's License and acceptable driving record; Shipping and Receiving Auditor designation; Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification eligible
• Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
• Physical: Repetitive motion; reads small print; routinely lifts up to 50 lbs.; proficient keyboarding and data entry; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
• Environmental:Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments

Education and Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent required
• Minimum one year related warehousing, parts, shipping, receiving or related experience required
