Job summary

Duncan Aviation in Lincoln, NE seeks a Warehouse Specialist to accurately fill parts orders, manage inventory, and handle shipping and receiving with FAA-compliant procedures.

Responsibilities include processing shipments, returns, and inquiries while safely operating a forklift and loading/unloading trucks. Requires forklift certification and a valid driver's license. Relocation and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year related warehousing, shipping, receiving or related experience required.
• Forklift certification and valid driver's license required; Hazardous Materials shipping certification eligible.

Responsibilities

• Fills customers' request for parts with verified quantities and details.
• Maintains inventory by recording movements in the computer and RF systems; performs cycle counts and manual counts.
• Handles returns, credits and salvages as necessary.
• Prepares parts shipments with accurate documentation and packaging; codes shipping costs for billing.
• Processes incoming shipments and visually inspects materials per FAA regulations and Duncan procedures.
• Unloads and loads delivery trucks using a forklift; inspects for damage and documents issues.
• Coordinates emergency shipments with carriers according to Duncan procedures.

Job description

The Warehouse Specialist accurately fills customers' parts orders, maintains inventory, processes returns, and maintains tools in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures. In addition, this position professionally responds to internal and external customer parts' inquiries using the highest standard of customer service; prepares parts for shipping, and/or receives incoming shipments in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures; and loads and unloads delivery trucks using forklift.

Essential Job Functions

1. Performs accurate and timely warehouse functions in the following areas.

• Fills customers' request for parts including verifying proper quantities, part numbers, part description, condition code, lot numbers/expiration dates, etc. Responds to internal and external customers' inquiries regarding parts issues including tracking of goods using internal and external systems and researching open orders and lost parts
• Maintains integrity of inventory system by accurately documenting parts' movements in the computer as well as the RF System (i.e. warehouse moves, order fulfillment, credits and put a ways, etc.).
• Maintains accurate inventory by performing RF cycle counts and manual counts.
• Handles returns, credits and salvages as necessary.
• Prepares parts shipments by inspecting and safely packaging parts, performing shipment entry, producing correct documentation and accurately coding shipping costs for billing.
• Processes incoming shipments, verifies shipment with purchase orders, and visually inspects materials for damage, quantity, descriptions, part number, serial number, condition order, etc. per FAA regulations and Duncan approved procedures.
• Unloads and loads delivery trucks using a forklift in a safe and timely manner. Visually inspects materials for obvious damage, properly documents any damage(s), and notifies appropriate team member of any damage.
• Coordinates emergency shipments with appropriate carrier according to Duncan Aviation approved procedures as necessary.

2. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Specific Requirements

• Licenses/Certificates: Forklift Certification; valid driver's License and acceptable driving record; Shipping and Receiving Auditor designation; Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification eligible
• Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
• Physical: Repetitive motion; reads small print; routinely lifts up to 50 lbs.; proficient keyboarding and data entry; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
• Environmental:Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments

Education and Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent required
• Minimum one year related warehousing, parts, shipping, receiving or related experience required
