Job description

2nd Shift Warehouse Specialist Position - Monday to Friday (3pm-11:30pm), No weekends.

Classic Wire and Cable is an industry-leading supplier and manufacturer of aluminum wire and cable products servicing the commercial, residential, renewable energy, and industrial markets, sold exclusively through electrical distributors. We are committed to providing high-quality UL Listed aluminum wire and cable products and have built a reputation as a trusted industry supplier. Our management team is comprised of industry veterans with decades of experience in sales, manufacturing, distribution, engineering, and marketing.

The Second Shift Warehouse Specialist will work from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily, following the guidelines set by the Shift Supervisor. The role requires adherence to standard operating procedures, warehouse safety protocols, dress code, and attendance policies.

Core Responsibilities

• Receive, store, select, pack, and ship wire and cable inventory (COILS, REELS).
• Perform physical tasks necessary to lift and move inventory within the warehouse.
• Comply with the company attendance point system.
• Use RF scanners to move materials within the facility.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, following manufacturer instructions and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility environment for the next shift.
• Receive incoming materials, identify, break down, note discrepancies, and prepare for storage.
• Store and locate products according to company procedures.
• Stage products for shipment and load via LTL or flatbed trailers.
• Collaborate with the first shift team to meet daily goals.
• Accurately select, check, pack orders, and prepare for shipment.
• Sort and pack shipments in accordance with company and carrier requirements.
• Participate in inventory counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Rotate inventory and consolidate stock for efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of warehouse experience.
• Punctual, dependable, professional, and loyal.
• Team-oriented and willing to accept coaching.
• Understanding of shipping, warehouse, or inventory operations.
• Knowledge of safety practices in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately, lift heavy objects, and operate forklifts if licensed.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Willing to learn in-house systems and basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
