The 2nd shift Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor by leading and coordinating the activities of all warehouse personnel and shipping/receiving functions in a consistent and professional manner. This includes all warehouse operations, including the identification and communication of department goals and teamwork, in addition to various professional development aspects such as maintaining and promoting a positive workplace environment, employee morale, staff training and development, and promoting/enforcing safety rules and regulations to maintain a positive workplace safety culture.

  • SALARY: From $22.00 an hour plus shift differential

Essential Functions

  1. Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.
  2. Issue written and oral instructions.
  3. Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
  4. Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
  5. Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances, consistently promoting professional conduct.
  6. Confer with Warehouse Supervisor and other management staff outside of the warehouse to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, inventory management, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, & human resources.
  7. Identify employee skills and development by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis.
  8. Assist in conducting performance reviews and provide continual feedback on both positive & negative performance.
  9. Partner with the Director of Warehouse & Human Resources Department to ensure proper documentation and resolution of matters regarding employee performance review and disciplinary action.
  10. Responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures, including the promotion and enforcement of safety rules and regulations, maintaining a consistent and positive workplace safety culture.
