Position Title: Warehouse Specialist

Department: Supply Chain

Entity: USCM

Reports To: Warehouse Manager, US Mfg. Op

Location: Indiana

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Specialist will support daily warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, handling, posting, and distribution of goods. This supervisory-level role requires experience in warehouse operations, staff coordination, and compliance with safety standards. The Warehouse Specialist will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and align with the Warehouse Manager to ensure operational excellence and safety within the warehouse.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in all warehouse operations such as receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution;
  2. Support inventory control systems, conduct regular audits, and help prevent losses;
  3. Coordinate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate inventory tracking, reporting, and budget adherence;
  4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote safety culture, and participate in safety training;
  5. Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency;
  6. Assist in managing warehouse space utilization and workflow optimization;
  7. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and technological tools to streamline operations;
  8. Support budget tracking, cost control, and financial reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in high-volume manufacturing; senior specialists should have 4-5 years of experience, with skills in SAP and Microsoft Office;
  2. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred, but candidates with solid experience without formal education are also considered;
  3. Proven support functions experience in manufacturing sectors;
  4. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software;
  5. Familiarity with local, state, and federal warehouse regulations;
  6. Strong communication skills;
  7. Forklift certification is a plus.
