Simms Machinery International is a small, hands-on team delivering precision-engineered Turbomachinery systems within the energy sector, specializing in natural gas and other industries. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, reliable individual to join us as a Warehouse Specialist; someone who can keep the flow of parts and materials running smoothly, support our technicians, and help us stay organized as we grow.

Duties and Responsibilities
This role is all about making sure the right parts are where they need to be — on time, every time. You’ll manage inventory, organize incoming shipments, and package outgoing kits that help our customers overhaul their equipment. Using our inventory system (Fishbowl), you’ll track stock levels, flag reorder needs, and keep things organized and moving. You’ll work closely with the office and production teams, and once trained, you’ll take ownership of this process. When done well, this role helps us deliver reliable, high-quality parts that meet or exceed OEM standards and keeps our reputation strong.
Receive incoming materials, verify contents, and update inventory systems
Prepare and organize outgoing shipments, including packaging and documentation
Oversee and maintain inventory records using Fishbowl Inventory Software
Monitor stock levels and communicate when reordering is needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and inventory areas
Work closely with technicians to ensure accurate and timely parts availability
Assist with general shop support as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control
Experience using inventory or warehouse software
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a physical, hands-on environment
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, organized work style
Dependable, communicative, and team-oriented
Preferred Experience – Not Mandatory
Experience with Fishbowl Inventory Software
Prior work in a manufacturing or mechanical environment
Associate’s degree or related coursework
Physical Requirements
Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs .
Work Schedule
Standard workdays are Monday – Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.
