Job summary

Goldbelt Integrated Logistics Services, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Elizabeth City, NC. The role focuses on receiving verification, routing to storage locations, stacking and palletizing materials, and preparing items for shipment.

The position requires forklift operation, lifting up to 50 lbs, and background checks. A valid driver’s license is required, with potential truck/trailer licensing as a plus. Comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and via email.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including being on your feet most of the day and lifting requirements.
  • Ability to be trained in the use of warehouse tools and manual material handling equipment.
  • Have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Licensed and capable of operating lifting and material handling equipment to include forklifts, hand carts, and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to lift and carry items that weigh about twenty-three (23) kilograms (fifty (50) pounds) with mechanical lifting devices or assistance from other workers.
  • Ability to frequently lift parts and equipment that weigh up to nine (9) kilograms (twenty (20) pounds).
  • Must possess a current Forklift and Pack Mule license.
  • May be required to possess a valid truck and trailer license.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre‑employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
  • Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with (IAW) prescribed storage methods.
  • Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
  • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
  • Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
  • Packing and repacking a variety of items such as industrial, electronic, aircraft and general parts, components, equipment, and other items including printed forms and publications that require a variety of packing procedures and techniques. Packing may be for shipment or storage.
  • Prepares documents either manually or by using automated equipment such as computer terminals and bar code wands to read, store, track, and prepare materials documentation.
  • Uses pallet measuring gauges and automated devices to ensure that proper height, weight, and other load and storage requirements are met and damage in storage or in transit is prevented.
  • As required, personnel assist with conducting inventories of material and equipment.

Summary

The Warehouse Specialist will perform a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
