AGS is looking for a Warehouse Specialist to work in Batavia, NY. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan, Inventory Programs, and bar scanner operations. Will have full oversight over Warehouse Operations and report directly to the Deputy Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of the Deputy Project Manager. The Lead Warehouse Specialist will act independently or assist in duties necessary to keep the facility operational. Performs other duties as assigned.
• Has full authority over Warehouse Specialists, Order Fillers, and other warehouse personnel, responsible for daily operations.
• Arranges and takes inventory of stored materials.
• Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
• Removes materials from storage and prepares for shipment.
• Inputs data into computer, maintains records, and submits reports.
• Utilizes inventory programs and bar scanner equipment.
• Reports discrepancies and directs materials to prescribed storage locations, stacks, or palletizes materials.
• Maintains records of outgoing orders, requisitions stock, and reports shortages.
• Operates hand or power trucks as needed.
• Assists with receiving, packaging, unpacking, and inventorying supplies.
• Completes work based on priorities set by supervision or facility needs.
• Maintains professionalism, quality, and craftsmanship in all work.
• Uses downtime to keep work area clean and update clerical tasks.
• Adheres to safety standards and local codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years supervisory experience; computer skills are a plus.
• Effective communication skills with employees and department heads.
• Ability to follow codes of conduct, including interactions with detainee populations.
• Able to lift or push up to 50 lbs.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, kneel, sit, bend, reach, and climb for extended periods.
• Work may involve using ladders and lifts.
• Exposure to chemicals and solvents possible.
• Majority of work in an air-conditioned environment.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass background check and drug tests; random testing conducted.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 – 3:30, pending operational needs.
