Job summary

US Foods in Salem, VA is seeking a Slotting Coordinator to organize and optimize warehouse slotting locations, improving efficiency and inventory accuracy. You will partner with Warehouse Operations, Inventory Control, Receiving, Shipping, and leadership to place products where they move best.

The role requires a high school diploma, warehouse or logistics experience preferred, and strong Excel/data analysis skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Previous warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or supply chain experience preferred.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update slotting assignments within the warehouse.
Analyze inventory movement and recommend slotting changes to improve efficiency.
Coordinate product relocations and warehouse re-slotting projects.
Monitor inventory trends and optimize picking paths.
Conduct warehouse audits to ensure slotting accuracy and compliance.
Review space utilization and identify opportunities to improve storage capacity.
Support inventory control processes and investigate location discrepancies.
Communicate slotting updates and changes to warehouse personnel.
Assist with special projects, warehouse reorganizations, and seasonal volume adjustments.
Provide support during occasional night warehouse activities and transitions.
