Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a Warehouse Site Supervisor in Erie, PA to oversee daily warehouse operations, monitor service quality, safety standards, equipment maintenance, and cost efficiency. You will manage shipping and receiving and maintain inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities include documenting monthly reports, supervising staff, coordinating with drivers, performing cycle counts, and driving process improvements to meet KPI goals.

Qualifications

• Previous employment verification and drug testing background checks will be completed along with an in-depth criminal background check.
• 3-5 years of warehouse operations experience with an emphasis on customer service, inventory control, team building, proven analytical skill performance, and warehouse operations functions

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly administrative reports and internal audits to monitor facility performance.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving and verify inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers.
• Ensure customer goals are met or exceeded and provide feedback to customers and Site Manager.
• Promote safety and maintain cleanliness and security of the warehouse.
• Lead shift meetings and manage labor and costs under Site Manager direction.
• Direct warehouse team to achieve KPI goals and optimize space utilization.
• Maintain WMS and barcode systems for inventory accuracy.
• Support repack services and coordinate product flow in and out.
• Participate in scheduling and ensure proper duty assignments and completion.
• Support quality initiatives (ISO, Lean, 6S) and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all customer requests and contracts are properly handled and resolved on time.
• Verify accuracy of records, perform inventories, and troubleshoot shortages or overages.
• Supervise unloading, stacking, picking, and staging of shipments with high productivity.

Description

The primary duty of the Warehouse Site Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring they align with the company's goals in service quality, safety standards, equipment maintenance, and cost efficiency. Furthermore, the Site Supervisor also manages shipping and receiving tasks while maintaining oversight of inventory levels.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative- (Monthly Reports, Internal Audits/Facility Performance, Measurements)

• Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Compile, sort, copy, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.

Customer Satisfaction

• Ensure all customer goals are met or exceeded.
• Provide feedback to the Site Manager and customers on both a regular and as-needed basis.
• Make recommendations to resolve issues and suggest continuous improvements to the overall process to improve site service deliverables.
• Participate in customer-sponsored programs and meetings proactively.
• Ensure all special customer requests, contract compliance, and investigation/resolution of customer complaints are properly handled and resolved on time.
• Ensure the warehouse site operates efficiently and fiscally responsible.

Equipment- (all Material Handling Equipment such as Forklifts, Reach Trucks, Pallet Jacks, Man-Lifts, Crating Tools, Stretch Wrap, and Strap machines, etc.)

• Ensure Safety training and the efficient operation of all materials handling equipment for all Team Members.
• Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting cycle and physical inventories.
• Troubleshoot inventory shortages and overages to improve the process.
• Maintain product WMS and barcode systems to ensure accuracy.
• Optimize the utilization of space through current Warehouse best practices.
• Direct the operations of the warehouse team to achieve KPI goals and objectives
• Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, and create accountability programs to supervise, counsel, and discipline team members.
• Lead shift meetings. If applicable, and under the direction of the Site Manager, the Warehouse Site Supervisor is responsible for administering and managing labor and all costs associated.

Quality

• Promote continuous improvement primarily in warehouse-related functions utilizing established quality processes (ISO, Lean, 6S, customer, etc.).
• Understand and meet all customer quality goals and indices.
• Provide direction and coordination to the warehouse team relative to specific quality focus areas.
• Make recommendations to the management team regarding the continuous improvement of department work processes and operating procedures.
• Maintain the highest level of quality work produced.

Repack

• Oversee repack services.
• Determine manpower & packing material requirements and coordinate product flow in & out.

Safety, Sanitation, Security

• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas and site facilities.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.

Scheduling

• Participate in establishing work schedules.
• Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that duties are assigned effectively and completed properly.

Shipping & Receiving

• Supervise and coordinate the unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of products, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments per the highest possible levels of productivity.
• Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, confirming that all products are properly counted.
