What you'll be doing:

1. Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.
2. Maintains good housekeeping in the warehouses and related areas.
3. Supervises and coordinates the employees and activities of the plant warehouse function (and local outside warehouse, if applicable) as directed.
4. Collaborates with internal and external logistics teams in an efficient manner to coordinate consistent flow of inbound and outbound shipments.
5. Reviews and compiles bills of lading for completeness and accuracy prior to distribution.
6. Facilitates shipments of finished product and scrap.
7. Assist with inventory status of finished goods and packaging materials. Responsible for inventory accuracy of warehouses.
8. Coordinates customer releases and orders with outside warehouse and other plants within the group and assists in procuring transportation for customer and warehouse of finished products.
9. Enter shipping releases into the MFG PRO and OTM systems as required.
10. Ensures that all company property is properly maintained.
11. Facilitates training for subordinates- including but not limited to forklift training, BOL shipment print, QAD transactions.
12. Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
13. Directly responsible for coordination with packaging sort house and packaging demand planners and ensure the plant has the necessary amount of packaging on hand to sustain production.
14. Maintain internal warehouse utilization at a goal of greater than 90%.
15. Manage FIFO for shipments and consumption.
16. Any other job-related duties deemed necessary by direct manager.
17. Maintains direct support to all departments in the plant via material handling.
18. Works in a productive and proactive manner with cross functional teams such as logistics, customer service, production supervisors, etc.
19. Utilizing 5S and Lean principles, responsible for the vision and continuous improvement of storeroom operations.

This position is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

1. Familiar with HAZMAT shipping requirements, DOT, and RCRA.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Prior forklift experience.
4. Experience and proficient working knowledge of ERP systems managing inventory and logistics (Oracle, QAD, SAP, etc.).

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $75,040 to $84,420, plus quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.
