Job Overview:

Responsible for supervising the shipping functions of all outgoing products from the warehouse. Leads and controls activities of warehouse personnel. Ensures timely, efficient, and accurate shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution. Takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss. Maintains warehouse documents and reports. Ensures warehouse operations adhere to established procedures and policies, and keeps management informed of activities. Supports area personnel as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direction and motivation to ensure workload is completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Maintains a positive presence on the floor throughout the shift.
• Supervises all warehouse functions.
• Completes paperwork and reports as required.
• Provides training for new hires and follow-up training for all employees.
• Performs job evaluations and communicates results.
• Evaluates work performance regarding promotions, absenteeism, and disciplinary actions.
• Communicates with management and other departments to meet goals.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and is knowledgeable of emergency procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Three or more years of progressive related experience.
• Basic knowledge of purchasing, inventory procedures, and policies.
• Understanding of computer applications.
• Familiarity with courier and mailing functions.
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
