Job summary

CRH seeks a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to lead all warehouse operations and distribution activities. You will oversee receiving, storage, inventory, and order fulfillment, while driving efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery for internal and external customers.

The role requires at least 3 years in shipping/receiving, 3 years in supervision, and forklift experience. Strong communication and math skills are essential, with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years shipping and receiving experience.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience; forklift experience.
• Good communication skills.

• Good reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Create, monitor, and evaluate warehouse performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to facilitate smooth operations.
• Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and stock rotation.
• Implement and maintain an effective inventory tracking system to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize stock outs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers.
• Coordinate the logistics of outbound shipments, including carrier selection, route planning, and documentation.
• With the aid of the Logistics Coordinator, monitor delivery schedules and resolve any transportation or delivery-related issues.
• Continuously evaluate and improve distribution processes to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce delivery lead times.
• Train, and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, motivation, and a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.
• Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet operational goals.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement training and development plans for team members.
