Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee the department functions and associates, ensuring production standards for receiving or shipping. The role collaborates with Operations, Distribution Center Departments, Transportation, and Inventory Management to ensure timely and safe movement of products.

Responsibilities include planning shipping schedules, supervising a team, and maintaining documentation while addressing issues in TMS/RDC systems.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related supervisory/management experience
• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills
• Strong planning and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping schedules for production and plan for mixed product loads.
• Administer reconsignment of freight, refusals, and delivery issues as necessary.
• Oversee receiving, verifying, and stocking inbound materials.
• Coordinate shipment logistics with outside freight companies.
• Maintain documentation of the shipping and receiving function.
• Create purchase orders for vendors and expediting until receipt of services/goods.
• Maintain warehouse record-keeping on raw materials and parts inventory.
• Identify and resolve TMS and RDC systems issues and reporting requirements.
