Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Group Lead to support daily warehouse operations and system processes. You will plan and coordinate workflow for the assigned area, ensure proper resource placement, and verify shipments meet service levels.

The Group Lead may assist other areas at the DC Supervisor/Shift Manager discretion. Responsibilities include training employees, generating reports, operating RF units, and possibly powered lift equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 4-6 years of experience supporting multiple warehouse areas
• 1-3 years of powered lift equipment experience
• Bilingual a plus
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of Internal Operating System(s) and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team by example
• Ability to read, write and identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels and SKUs
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure product is shipped accurately and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and safety
• Assist with training employees including on the job and safety training
• Generate and maintain reports; input data accurately
• May operate an RF unit with Internal Operating System
• May operate powered lift equipment
• Coordinate pick up schedule changes with trucking dispatchers
• Check out equipment and return in same condition
• Meet minimum standards and deadlines for delivery
• Maintain a safe, neat work area per safety regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Comply with all policies and standards
