Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is seeking a Logistics/Shipping professional in Spokane Valley, WA to manage outbound shipments with domestic and international carriers.

You will obtain quotes, coordinate with partners, ensure accurate invoicing and documents, and maintain ITAR compliance while safeguarding timely deliveries. English proficiency and basic math are required; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong math and communication skills.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Knowledge of UPS/FedEx software and ITAR regulations preferred.
• Experience handling international shipments is a plus.
• Forklift/side-loader certification preferred.
• Must pass drug and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manages all logistical details for outbound shipments processed by outside carriers and internal Fleet.
• Obtains quotes and selects vendors for freight and forwarding services.
• Coordinates with internal and external contacts on shipments.
• Investigates and resolves customer issues pertaining to shipping or paperwork.
• Examines, prepares and administers documents such as invoices, bills of lading and shipping statements.
• Ensures accuracy and integrity of shipments and packaging to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintains compliance with ITAR and other governmental regulations.
• Shipping material by FedEx and UPS.
• Files all freight claims for damaged goods and tracks them on a weekly basis. Resolves disputes.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Job Function

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $20.87/Hr. - USD $26.15/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
