Job description

Summary

This position is primarily responsible for distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the facility; and verifying and recording outbound shipments. This position will also be pulling parts on outbound shipments for Quality Assurance inspection.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Operates small package carrier (UPS and FedEx) shipping systems.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs inventory items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Opens and transports stored items from warehouse to plant or picks up items from several locations for shipment.
  • Forklift experience a plus.
  • Scanner experience a must.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Job Requirements

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
  • Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.
