Job description

Hours : Monday thru Friday, 2 : 00 pm - 10 : 00 pm

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the warehouse operations, which includes supervising departmental staff, establishing and achieving operational goals to maximize team performance, order fulfillment and maintaining the health and welfare of the warehouse employees.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title :

• Assign tasks to warehouse employees and ensure tasks are completed in a timely, productive and quality manner
• Order and monitor supplies for shipping; account for inventory replenishment
• Ensure employees are productive while following safety procedures|
• Evaluate, write and conduct employee evaluation by given deadline and continual professional growth
• Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings
• Wear safety equipment at all times
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications :

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong warehouse / distribution management experience
• Three years’ management or supervisory experience
• Must be willing to work 2 : 00 pm - 10 : 00 pm (later when needed), Monday through Friday
• Ability to think on your feet and accomplish tasks that are not always of a routine manner that serve in the best interest of the company
• Ability to take the hands on approach when necessary
• Effective problem solving ability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead and coach people to create a team approach and to hold employees accountable in a fair and consistent manner
• Basic math skills
• Read tape measure
