Warehouse Senior Industrial Engineer - Ryder Last Mile (remote)

Job Overview

This position supports Ryder's Continuous Improvement culture by applying methodologies to enhance operations. The Engineer will identify and implement data-driven improvements to safety, quality, delivery, and cost, working closely with all levels of staff and reporting to the Lead Engineer, CI Manager, or Sr. CI Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data, map processes, identify gaps, and develop improvement plans to drive value and operational excellence.
• Lead CI projects, support automation initiatives, and coordinate with operations management and clients.
• Apply engineering and lean tools such as product slotting, flow optimization, and root cause analysis to improve warehouse and transportation functions.
• Facilitate value stream mapping and Kaizen events, coaching teams on lean principles.
• Report progress, analyze inventory and supply chain strategies, and support quality management systems.

Additional Duties

• Design and monitor quality management systems, support compliance, and perform QA functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, PowerBI/Tableau, SQL, and lean tools.
• Experience in warehouse design, automation, and data analysis.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD, warehouse management systems, and logistics software.
• Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, ISO/QMS, or APICS are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000, plus benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid leave.
