Job summary

Publix is hiring a Part-Time Warehouse Selector in Greensboro, NC. You will pick and prepare orders, lift products up to 67 lbs, and operate a pallet truck or forklift while following safety protocols.

The role requires rotating shifts, weekend work, and the ability to work a physically active schedule. You will be part of a team supporting store supply and distribution needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work a rotating schedule which includes some weekends and holidays.
• Able to work fluctuating shifts when needed.
• Select, lift, carry and stack product weighing 67 pounds for High Velocity and Low Velocity.
• Stand, bend, and stoop and perform repetitive work for long periods.
• Operate a pallet truck or forklift within the operator compartment.
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (by start date).
• Perform duties efficiently, accurately, and safely.
• Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Use available technology to track products and locations in the warehouse.

What we’re looking for

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to:
  • Work a rotating schedule which includes some weekends and holidays
  • Work fluctuating shifts, when needed
  • Select, lift, carry and stack product weighing
    • 67 pounds for High Velocity and Low Velocity
  • Stand, bend, and stoop and do repetitive work for long periods of time
  • Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside of the operator compartment
  • Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before their start date in the position)
  • Perform job duties efficiently, accurately, and safely
  • Read, write, and identify and verify numbers
  • Interpret, understand, and follow instructions and
  • Pass a Physical Agility Test, as applicable
