Job summary

Performance Food Group in Manassas, VA seeks a Warehouse Selector to join our distribution team. You will select and move product between the loading dock and warehouse, using equipment such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts, to fulfill customer orders accurately.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to policies. Shift patterns include Sunday through Thursday, with start times outlined by location, and opportunities for growth and benefits from Day 1 onward.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
• Ability to become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift repetitively.
• Ability to lift 10-35 lbs regularly and up to 60-100 lbs depending on location.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work schedule, obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Performs safety check on pallet jack/forklift to ensure safety devices are functioning properly.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and safety gear.
• Places pallets on pallet jack and operates along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually places the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required.
• Transports completed palletized customer orders to shipping dock staging area and may shrink-wrap pallets for staging.
