Job summary

Quirch Foods is hiring for a warehouse selector in a refrigerated/frozen warehouse. You will accurately pick, palletize, wrap and scan orders, using FIFO, and ensure product integrity throughout storage and shipping processes.

The role requires operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks, reading labels and pick lists, and complying with safety rules. You must be able to work Sundays through Thursdays, with extended hours and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Work Schedule: Sunday through Thursday. 5 PM to finish, extended hours, extra shifts and holidays.
• Can read, write, communicate, and comprehend English sufficiently to perform tasks, read labels, pick lists, scanners, and communicate with management & co-workers.
• Experienced in a warehouse environment selecting products using powered equipment including electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• CK31 & CK71 scanner familiarity is a plus.
• MHE and SQF certification is preferred.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments (0 to 36 degrees).
• Must meet physical requirements including standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Accurately, consistently and safely follow directions for selecting product from pick tickets in a refrigerated/frozen warehouse environment.
• Operate forklift, electric pallet jack, and additional equipment as needed.
• Identify and select cases of product from inventory locations.
• Pick, palletize, wrap and scan orders using FIFO (First in First out).
• Hand stack product on pallets in a specific sequence and location for shipment.
• Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Return undelivered or mis-picked product to proper inventory locations.
• Transport product from storage area to designated shipping area within expected time.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
• Observe safe product handling techniques.
• Cooperate with supervisors and peers.
• Follow attendance policy by coming to work on time and complete shifts as scheduled.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on MHE.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as directed by warehouse supervisor.
• Various other duties as assigned
