Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for understanding the equipment used, pick locations, pallet building, productivity measures, and safety procedures.

SHIFT:

6 PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

1. Inspect assigned jack for safety issues and stage pallets in the appropriate bay.
2. Enter the proper information into the productivity measure.
3. Identify the correct pick location and sequence.
4. Pick the correct item and quantity, checking UPCs or descriptions, and place labels.
5. Identify Master Case locations and report any mis-located products.
6. Shrink wrap and label with correct truck, stop, and other required information.
7. Listen for calls and obtain out-of-stock items promptly.
8. Keep the work area clean and obtain aisle-cleaning assignments.
9. Immediately report safety threats to a supervisor or manager.
10. Operate pallet jack/push cart safely and build stable, cubed pallets.
11. Report policy violations to the supervisor or lead.
12. Park and recharge pallet jack at shift end.
13. Perform duties according to HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
15. Use good judgment, especially when supervision is not immediately available.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:

1. Complete selector functions according to company standards, including quality and safety.
2. Maintain effective communication and coordination with personnel and management.
3. Meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Understanding of safety guidelines and basic RF system functions is ideal.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to select at minimum departmental rate.
• Attention to detail and ability to lift 50+ pounds continuously.
• Understand and follow selecting procedures and instructions in your area.
• Possess a broad understanding of warehouse procedures for a comprehensive understanding of all processes.
