Job Overview:

Compensation and Schedule:

• The starting pay rate is $22.25/hr
• Weekend differential: $2.00 + incentives based on performance
• Schedule: 9:00 AM start time
• Weekend work is required (Saturday or Sunday)

Team Role and Responsibilities:

As a Warehouse Selector, you are considered an industrial athlete, responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders, palletizing, and ensuring correct placement. You will operate motorized equipment like Electric Pallet Jacks, ensuring safety and accuracy in product movement within the warehouse.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate double pallet jacks throughout the warehouse
• Identify pick locations and accurately select and stack a variety of food/beverage cases onto pallets
• Maintain speed and accuracy standards with minimal damage
• Prepare items for shipment, including shrink wrapping and labeling
• Report safety issues immediately and help maintain a clean work area
• Inspect equipment to ensure safety

Job Requirements:

• Warehouse experience preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
• Adherence to attendance policy and work schedule
• Ability to work in various temperatures
• Good judgment, especially when supervision is not immediate

Work Environment:

This position is based at one of our UNFI distribution centers.

Physical Demands:

• Lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
• Work in temperatures from -20°F to 35°F in Perishable Operations and 37°F to 90°F in Grocery Operations
• Perform repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements
• Work with hands overhead and under equipment
• Operate related equipment with good coordination and balance
• Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
